1.      Education and competence of nurse anaesthetists

Being a nurse in anaesthesia is a job that requires a lot of concentration and readiness to react in acute situations. The competencies of nurses in anaesthesia have increased compared to the past, which has been contributed to by continuing education.

  2. Explain the possible educational methods for younger colleagues

2.    Nursing and research

Research helps nurses determine effective best practices and improve patient care.Nurses need research because it helps them advance their field, stay updated and offer better patient care. Information literacy skills can help nurses use information more effectively to develop their own conclusions.

People undergoing anaesthesia must be carefully monitored, because medicines given to the patients affect the central nervous system, cardiovascular system, and respiratory system Anesthesia suppresses many of the body’s normal automatic functions and reflexes

4.    Strategies in pain management

Effective pain control improves the individual’s state of mind and ability to move through the healing process. Some of strategies used in pain management are pain medicines, physical therapy, psychological therapy, mind and body techniques, community support groups.

5.    Recovery room – preoperative and postoperative care

The period before a surgical procedure is called the pre-operative period, and the period after surgery is called the post-operative period. Patients must be prepared for both because surgery itself and the period of time after an operation can be stressful.

8.    Nurse anesthetists specialization programs

Certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) are advanced practice registered nurses who specialize in administering anesthesia and other pain management medications to patients in a number of medical situations, including surgery, labor and delivery, trauma stabilization and treatment, podiatry, dentistry, and palliative care.

9.    Challenges of anaesthesia

General anesthetics bring about a reversible loss of consciousness and analgesia in order for surgeons to operate on a patient. Their use is commonplace, but how they produce their effect is still not fully understood. According to the ISSPA-recommended standards, the most significant risk factors regarding anesthesia safety are the insufficient training of anesthesiologists, the lack of monitoring equipment, and the lack of emergency medications.

10.   Nurse anaesthesia practice

CRNAs practice in hospitals, nonoperating room anesthetizing areas, ambulatory surgical centers, and office-based settings. They provide all types of anaesthesia-related care for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
